As your elected Homeowner's Association Board of Directors we want to make you aware of a change that has been made to our covenants to accommodate concerns expressed by many residents over the past few months. This change occurred prior to the elected board taking over control of the neighborhood's management.
It has to do with homeowners or occupants choosing to park their vehicles on the street rather than in their garages or driveways. This practice is now prohibited by the covenants and the board wanted to give all residents an opportunity to make necessary adjustments to comply before Neighborhood Management starts enforcing this covenant. Enforcement will begin on August 1, 2015. If you have guests, they will be allowed to park on the street, but will need to pull their cars into your driveway for overnight parking. For those of you who have babysitters who stay all day, they will need to use your driveway for parking. Workmen can park on the street, but not overnight. For those who have large gatherings at their residence, all street parking must be on one side of the road only. The purpose of this is to allow for emergency vehicle passage (firetrucks, ambulances, etc.) For those who violate this new parking covenant, you will receive a warning letter first and if the homeowner continues to park on the street, a fine will be levied and additional fines will compound until the problem is resolved.
Secondly, the covenants have always stated that each homeowner is responsible for the maintenance of his/her property and this includes property that might be outside of a fenced back yard or side yard. The board has received so many complaints about this that we have notified Neighborhood Management to take a new approach in enforcing it. If you own one of the properties with a bank behind you which has been left to go "natural" with tall weeds, you will be required to use a weedeater on it once a month during the growing season which is defined as between April and October.
Let's please consider our neighbors so we can all use our streets safely and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.
If you have any questions regarding these or other issues, feel free to submit them on theform to the right of this page and we will promptly reply.
Thank you,
The Board of Directors
