The Jefferson County Wastewater Management Department has supplied us with Mosquito Dunks. These are round pellets, shaped like donuts, which can be dropped into standing water to kill mosquito larvae.
They are harmless to animals, birds and humans. They don't need to be placed in the water whole and can be broken up.
These usually cost about $6-7 dollars for a couple of these but they are provided for free.
If you want to have some, they are free. They are located in the kitchen closet at the clubhouse in boxes labelled "Mosquito". Please take one or two and take some for your neighbors to use as well.
